Moss Landing State Beach is one of the few beaches that allows horseback riding. The riding ranges from easy to hard with great ocean views. To get there from Monterey go north to Moss Landing and turn left onto Jetty Road and follow to the beach.
Pebble Beach Equestrian Center offers riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders. There four guided beach rides daily. Six rings and more than 20 miles of riding trails that range from easy to hard. To get there from Monterey go south on Hwy. 1 and take Pacific Grove/Pebble Beach exit . Exit into Pebble Beach and 17 mile Drive. Center is located at Portola Road and Alva Lane.
Salinas River State Beach offers an easy ride and has a large parking lot that offers ample room for trailers. To get there from Monterey take Hwy. 1 north to Portrero Road and turn left.
