Jazz Band, and the all-star "Bring Down the House Band" featuring Dan Barrett, Jim
Buchmann, Chris Calabrese, Eddie Erickson, Dan Levinson, "Big Mama" Sue Kroninger and
Lee "Westy" Westenhofer plus guest pianists. Special evening performance from 7:30-10p.m.

ONGOING
Garland Ranch Regional Park. For a schedule of hikes on Saturdays and Sundays see www.
mprpd.org. The park is at 700 W. Carmel Valley Road, Carmel Valley. The Web site also
includes hikes at other Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District parks. Free.

Sierra Club hikes. For a schedule of hikes, see www.ventana.sierraclub.org. Free.

Point Sur Lightstation State Historic Park walk tours. 10a.m. and 2p.m. Saturdays; 10a.m.
Sundays. Arrive early. The tour is about three hours and is limited to 40 people. Moonlight
tours available. Meet outside the Highway 1 farm gate, 19 miles south of Rio Road (look for
signs — near the Point Sur Naval Facility). $8 adults/$4 for ages 6-17/age 5 and under free.

ONGOING FRIDAYS
Historic garden tours. 10:30a.m. ongoing Fridays. Tours start at Casa del Oro Memory
Gardens at Pacific and Scott streets, Monterey. Visit the gardens associated with Old
Monterey Historic Adobes. $5 donation. Reservations at 649-3364; leave a message.

ONGOING THU-MON
Tours of Point Pinos Lighthouse. Self-guided tours from 1-4p.m. Thursdays-Mondays. The
lighthouse is on Ocean View Boulevard in Pacific Grove. The entrance is from Asilomar

ONGOING SAT-SUN
Docent-led tours of Elkhorn Slough. 10a.m. and 1p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, rain or shine.
Early bird tours are scheduled for 8:30a.m. the first Saturday of the month. Meet at the
visitor center at 1700 Elkhorn Road, Watsonville. $2.50 day-use fee. 728-2822, www.

ONGOING DAILY
Monterey State Park tours. Guided tours to four house museums — Larkin House, Stevenson
House, Cooper-Molera Adobe and Casa Soberanes — are free. The 45-minute guided tours
cover the history of Old Monterey and includes the exterior of some of the most historic
houses in Monterey. The Custom House, the oldest government building in California, is open
daily from 10a.m.-4p.m. (opens at 10:30a.m. on Fridays). The Pacific House Museum, home to
the Monterey Museum of the American Indian is also open daily (opens at 10:30a.m. on

Trolley tours with local historian Gary Munsinger. 8p.m. a daily trolley tour of Old Monterey.
Meet at 527 Hartnell St., downtown Monterey. Relive the tales of Old Monterey. Visit the sites
of the ghost in the garden, ancient burial grounds, hidden treasure, hauntings, hangings and
frequent ghostly sightings. $28 adults/$9 children under 12. Also, there is a daily wine trolley
tour, which begins at 11a.m. Meet at Portola Plaza in downtown Monterey for the five-hour
tour. $49 per person (does not include wine tastings). All tours by reservation only. 624-

Monterey Movie Tours. 1p.m. daily. Passengers will board a bus in front of the Portola Plaza
Hotel, 1 Portola Plaza, Monterey. The three-hour daily tour takes passengers to some of the
190 locations of films that have been shot around the Peninsula. There is also live narration
aboard the bus along with movie clips. $49 adults/$45 seniors/$35 children. 372-6278.GO!
